Event details

Join us for three days of writing workshops and community engagement with Professor Mervyn Morris, who will be mentoring participants on poetics and craft at the beautiful Liberty Hill Great House, Lime Hall, St Ann's Bay, Jamaica.   

 

Submission Guidelines


Submit a writing sample of 3 poems by April 30, 2015, to drawingroomproject@gmail.com 
Each poem should be no more than 25 lines. Word Document or PDF. 


Include a cover page with contact information and a brief bio (75 words)

 

About Mervyn Morris

Poet Mervyn Morris, OM., Professor Emeritus of Creative Writing and West Indian Literature at the University of the West Indies and Poet Laureate of Jamaica is the author of: Is English We Speaking (1999), Making West Indian Literature (2005), Miss Lou, Louise Bennett and Jamaican Culture (2015) and six books of poetry including, The Pond (1973) and I been there, sort of (2006).
